Take towing requests while your crew handles the job

Your receptionist takes towing inquiries day and night once calls forward to it. It asks your intake questions, flags urgent requests and gives your crew details to review before calling back.

  • Pickup detailsAsk where the vehicle is and how the caller can be reached.
  • Vehicle informationCollect the vehicle description and the problem the caller reports.
  • Coverage choiceForward calls only when busy, unanswered or after hours, or forward all calls.

An AI receptionist for towing gives callers somewhere to explain what happened while you are occupied with a vehicle. You decide which details matter: pickup location, vehicle type, reported condition and requested destination. The receptionist uses your service area and policies when answering questions.

Your crew gets email and app push alerts with a summary, urgency tag, transcript and recording. Use that intake to decide the next action. You can leave routine requests for a callback and define which requests should reach your on-call person through an urgent warm transfer or page.

Follow a towing request from greeting to handoff

The call starts with virtual assistant and recording notices, then your towing intake. A location, vehicle description and callback number give your team a starting point for the next conversation.

  • Opening noticeThe receptionist identifies itself as a virtual assistant and announces recording.
  • Caller intakeAsk the location, vehicle details and questions your crew needs answered.
  • Urgent handoffYour on-call person hears a summary before accepting a warm transfer.

Consider a fictional caller whose car will not start in a parking lot. Your receptionist asks where the vehicle is, what vehicle they have and where they want it taken. It can collect a callback number and ask the other towing intake questions you supplied during setup.

When the request matches your urgent rules, it follows your contact order. The person receiving a warm transfer hears a short summary and presses 1 to accept. For a callback request, your team uses the call alert to review the details. This example describes configured intake, not a dispatch or arrival commitment.

Set your towing area, service rules and urgent contacts

You set the towing services you offer, the areas you cover and the questions callers should answer. Your urgency rules determine which requests need contact with your on-call person.

  1. 1Service boundariesTell the AI which towing requests you accept and which you decline.
  2. 2Price policySupply the wording you want used when callers ask for a quote.
  3. 3Contact orderSet who receives urgent calls and the order the receptionist follows.

The onboarding chat asks 10-15 questions and uses your website to learn your business. Describe your service area, operating hours and the work you do not take. Explain which details your crew needs before discussing a pickup or quote.

Choose how calls reach the receptionist using the forwarding guide for your carrier or phone system. You can change settings by telling the AI what to update in plain words. Make a test call that includes an address and a vehicle description before going live. Check that the resulting summary gives your team enough information to return the call.

Keep dispatch decisions and arrival estimates with your crew

RingCorgi collects the request and routes urgent calls; your crew decides whether to accept the job and what arrival estimate to give. Direct dispatch software connections are not live.

  • Dispatch ownershipYour team reviews the request and decides which driver can take it.
  • Arrival estimatesKeep timing commitments with the person who knows current truck availability.
  • Manual recordsEnter the call details into your dispatch or job software yourself.

The receptionist uses the information you provide; it does not see your live truck positions or create a job in dispatch software. Your team reviews the summary, checks availability and gives the caller a suitable next step. Include that review in your normal dispatch process.

RingCorgi is not an emergency service. Its safety scripts direct callers reporting medical emergencies to hang up and call 911 right now, then alert you. For towing inquiries, keep your intake focused on the details your crew needs rather than instructions for roadside repairs. Review transcripts when you need context beyond the summary.

Try the conversation, then test your towing intake

The browser demo lets you hear the receptionist without signing up. When trials open, you can configure towing questions, forwarding and urgent contacts, then make a test call before going live.

Use the no-signup browser demo to hear how the receptionist asks questions and handles a conversation. The demo uses fictional businesses; it is not a towing dispatch simulation. When trials open, you can configure your towing business and check the details your crew actually needs.

The free trial will run for 14 days, capped at 100 minutes. A card is required before forwarding goes live. During setup, test a routine pickup inquiry and a request that meets your urgent rules. For now, join early access for towing trials; check the summary and handoff once trials open to assess the intake.

Questions

Can I keep the phone number customers already call for towing?

You can keep your existing business number and forward calls to RingCorgi. Use all-call forwarding or choose busy, no-answer or after-hours coverage. We provide a guide for your carrier or phone system and a test call before you go live, so you can check the route.

Can an urgent roadside call reach my on-call driver?

You define which calls count as urgent and who receives them. The receptionist can warm transfer to your on-call person or page them in your chosen order. With a warm transfer, the recipient hears a short summary and presses 1 to take the conversation.

How will my crew receive the pickup details?

Your crew receives call information by email and app push notification, including the summary, urgency tag, transcript and recording. A daily digest email is also available. Review the intake and enter it into your dispatch software as needed; direct dispatch software connections are not available at launch.

Can the receptionist handle a caller who speaks Spanish?

The receptionist speaks English and Spanish, and callers can switch between them during a call. It uses the towing intake questions and business rules you set. When trials open, test the information you need collected, including the pickup location and vehicle details your crew uses for callbacks.

What happens if it gets a location or vehicle detail wrong?

The AI can make mistakes, so check the transcript or recording when a summary needs clarification. Keep a backup way for callers to reach your team and confirm job details before dispatching. You can change intake questions in plain words when you see a detail that needs more attention.
