Terms of Service

These terms explain your responsibilities and ours when you use RingCorgi, including billing, call handling, and account data. Read them before signing up, then try the browser demo to hear how your receptionist handles a conversation.

Who provides RingCorgi

RingCorgi is operated by TypeScience, trading as RingCorgi. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean that operator, and "you" means the customer business using the service. These terms govern your use of RingCorgi, including your account, the AI receptionist, and any included features you switch on in Settings.

By signing up for or using the service, you agree to these terms. Review them before you forward business calls or provide information for your receptionist to use. Questions about your account or these terms can go to support@ringcorgi.com.

What your receptionist does

Your receptionist answers business calls once you forward your number to RingCorgi. You choose whether to forward all calls or only calls that are unanswered, arrive while your line is busy, or come outside business hours. Your onboarding answers and website content supply the business information it uses.

The receptionist can take messages, ask intake questions, flag urgency, and book appointments into Google Calendar. You can choose to have it collect details for your callback instead. Urgent calls follow the transfer or paging order you set for your on-call contacts.

Your setup and business information

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you give the AI. This includes your services, service area, hours, price policy, intake questions, urgency rules, and contact instructions. Tell the AI when these details change so your receptionist has the instructions you want it to follow.

Your setup includes a forwarding guide and a test call before going live. Use that call to check the greeting, message details, and urgent-call instructions. Keep a backup number or voicemail available, and check that the people listed for urgent calls have the right contact details.

Call greetings and recording notices

The receptionist opens each call by identifying itself as a virtual assistant and saying the call is recorded. These notices cannot be switched off. You are responsible for your business greeting and policies within that requirement, including the information you ask callers to provide.

Call recordings, transcripts, and summaries are part of the service. Review your intake instructions with that in mind, and avoid asking callers for information your business does not need. The greeting does not change your responsibility for the way your business uses caller information.

AI limits and your review

The AI can make mistakes, so you are responsible for reviewing call summaries and checking details before acting on them. A message or urgency tag helps you decide what to do next; it does not replace your judgment about the caller's request or the work involved.

Keep a backup way for callers to reach your business. Review transcripts and recordings when a summary needs context, and correct business instructions that caused confusion. Your dashboard lets you review calls, usage, and settings, and you can change settings by telling the AI in plain words.

Free trial and payment details

The free trial lasts 14 days and is capped at 100 minutes. A card is required before call forwarding goes live. The trial converts to a paid subscription only with a card on file, and we send a reminder email two days before conversion.

You can first use the browser demo without signing up. Demo calls and chats are recorded and transcribed so you can see the result. Try a fictional call in the browser receptionist demo before deciding whether to join early access for your own business.

Monthly subscriptions and extra minutes

Starter costs $99 per month and includes 150 AI minutes, with additional minutes billed monthly at $0.35 each; Pro, the most popular plan, costs $249 per month and includes 500 AI minutes, with additional minutes billed monthly at $0.20 each. Both plans include the same features and the same 14-day free trial, capped at 100 minutes; the founding price applies only to Pro, and you can switch plans at any time in your dashboard. The subscription renews monthly until you cancel online, so review your usage in the dashboard as you decide how to route your calls.

Billing is handled by our payment processor, and we do not store full card numbers. Your account details include your name, business, email, and phone number. You can send billing questions to support@ringcorgi.com so we can review the account issue you describe.

Cancellation and a lapsed plan

You can cancel online in one click, and cancellation takes effect at the end of your paid month. The service is month to month. If a plan lapses, calls route to your backup number or voicemail, so keep that destination current in your setup.

Cancellation and data deletion are separate matters. If you also want account information deleted, send a request to privacy@ringcorgi.com. The retention terms below explain what happens to recordings, transcripts, and summaries, including deletion after an account closes.

Urgent calls and emergencies

RingCorgi is not an emergency service or a replacement for 911. For gas smells, carbon monoxide alarms, sparks or burning smells, or flooding near electricity, the safety script tells the caller to get everyone out and call 911 or the utility from outside. For a fire, it says, "Get everyone out first, then call 911 from outside." For a medical emergency or anyone in danger, it tells the caller to hang up and call 911 right now. It then alerts your business.

Your on-call settings determine where other urgent calls go. With a warm transfer, the contact hears a short summary and presses 1 to accept the call. Set your escalation order carefully and keep another way to receive urgent requests if the AI makes an error.

Optional website chat and lead follow-up

Website chat is included in every plan and uses the same business knowledge and rules as your receptionist. The included lead follow-up calling feature is limited to people who submit your web form and tick a consent box naming your business. You are responsible for the consent records for those calls.

Follow-up runs within about a minute, between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. in the recipient's time zone, with one attempt and one retry. Opt-outs are honored at once. Do not use this feature for lists, purchased leads, or people who have not given the required consent.

Acceptable use

You must not use RingCorgi for illegal activity, cold calling, robocalling, impersonation, or harassment. These restrictions apply to the receptionist and included features. Your instructions to the AI and the business information you supply must follow these terms, including the limits on follow-up calls.

Healthcare use involving protected health information is not permitted. Do not set up RingCorgi to handle that information or direct callers to provide it. We may suspend service for abuse, including use that violates these acceptable-use restrictions.

Your role in handling caller data

Your business decides what caller information is collected and why. We process that information on your behalf to provide RingCorgi. This section forms part of the data processing terms between your business and us, alongside the collection, provider, retention, and request provisions below.

You are responsible for the policies and intake instructions that define your use of caller data. Keep those instructions accurate and relevant to the calls you handle. Callers can ask your business or contact us about access, correction, deletion, or opting out.

Information used to provide the service

We collect account details, onboarding answers, and content from the website you point us to. For calls, we collect audio, recordings, transcripts, summaries, and caller numbers. We also collect demo calls and chats to show their results, along with website analytics, including Google Analytics, which uses cookies.

Calls, website and demo chats, recordings, transcripts and summaries of trial and customer accounts may be reviewed by authorized staff for quality, support and abuse prevention. Access is limited to those purposes.

We use service providers for hosting and storage, telephone service, voice and text AI, payment processing, email delivery, and analytics. Our AI model provider, OpenAI, does not use our API data to train its models by default. We do not sell personal information or use callers' data for our own marketing.

Recording and message retention

Recordings are kept for the period your business chooses, either 30 or 90 days, and are then deleted. Transcripts and summaries are kept while your account is open. They are deleted within 30 days after the account closes or on request.

Choose your recording period with your business needs in mind. If a caller asks about a recording or message, your business can review the request or direct it to privacy@ringcorgi.com. Include enough context to identify the relevant call without sending unrelated caller information.

Privacy requests and children

You and your callers can request access, correction, deletion, or an opt-out by emailing privacy@ringcorgi.com. Our privacy policy explains the information we collect and how requests are handled. For caller information, your business decides its purpose and we process it on your behalf.

RingCorgi is not for children under 13. Your business should consider that restriction when deciding what calls and information to route to the service. Account support questions go to support@ringcorgi.com; privacy questions and data requests go to privacy@ringcorgi.com.

Service terms and liability

The service is provided as is. You remain responsible for reviewing AI output, maintaining accurate business instructions, and keeping a backup way to be reached. Consider those responsibilities when deciding which calls to forward and which requests need your own review.

Our liability under these terms is capped at the fees you paid in the prior 12 months. This cap is part of the terms for using RingCorgi. Read it alongside the AI review responsibilities and emergency-service limits before using the service for your business calls.

Governing law, changes, and contact

These terms are governed by the law of California. We notify you of changes to the terms by email. The update date at the top identifies this version, so you can check it when reviewing the terms that apply to your service.

Contact support@ringcorgi.com for help with setup, billing, cancellation, or these terms. Contact privacy@ringcorgi.com for privacy requests. We sell RingCorgi online through the demo, free trial, and onboarding chat; there is no phone sales line.
